Finance with the 'Take it Away' Scheme<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Take it away<\/strong> is an Arts Council England initiative that aims to make musical instruments more accessible to children and young people by providing interest – free loans of up to \u00a35,000.<\/p>

The scheme is open to parents buying an instrument for a child under the age of 18, but also 18-25 years olds who can apply in their own right.\u00a0In England, you can get a Take it away interest free loan of between \u00a3100 and \u00a35,000.<\/p>

The core scheme, which all our shops in England offer, is available to UK residents, who have a regular income that exceeds \u00a35,000 per year and are either 18-25 years old, or over 18 and buying an instrument for a child under 18.<\/p>

In England, if the cost of the instrument\/s you want to buy exceed the \u00a35,000 loan limit, you can use Take it away as a part-payment towards the instrument\/s.<\/p>

You would then need to pay the remaining balance by an alternative method. It is not possible to split the cost of an instrument\/s over more than one loan application.<\/p>

You will need to pay a minimum of 10% of the loan amount at the point of sale by debit or credit card (or cash\/cheque with proof of identity). The rest is then paid back over 9 months (for goods of \u00a3100-\u00a32000) or 18 months (for goods of \u00a3800-\u00a35,000) in equal instalments by direct debit. There is no administrative charge or handling fee when you take out the loan, so you will never be paying more for your purchase than the ticket price.<\/p>

In England, our special focus is to make musical instruments more accessible for children and young people. You may be asked if you are buying for a child or young person as part of the loan application process.<\/p>
